Dried Fruits and Nuts the Best to Snack On


At around snack time say around 4 p.m - 5 p.m (approx) everybody is hungry and what to pop-in some snacks into their mouth. The most usual thing that most people eat at snack time is chips, candy, patties, chocolates etc. All these snacks are not bad but we should take care while choosing our snacks, we can have much better options or choices to choose from which are more beneficial for our body.

Here we are going to discuss about dried fruits and nuts which have lots of benefit upon all other snack items. By consuming such snacks we will develop a good immune system and also increase the nutritional intake. Some of the reasons why should we opt for dried fruits and nuts are as follows:

Dried Fruits are sweeter than others:

The reason why people eat candies and chocolates is due to the higher sugar content in them, and surely and apple cannot replace a chocolate bar. But, dried fruits can be a replacement to a chocolate bar. The reason is because the water is removed and it is concentrated, maintaining its health or nutritional value.

Fiber Rich Dried Fruits and Nuts:

Both dried fruits and nuts are great source of fibers, and offer number of health benefits like it fills your stomach and satisfy your hunger with improving digestion. It also reduces constipation and helps in regular bowel movements. The fiber source helps in fully absorbing vitamins and minerals for the body.

  1. This tray looks so inviting. A very happy memory of mine from childhood is when my father's friends used to come over with tray's similar to these as gifts- A favourite of mine were dates filled with almonds, and I loved the cashew and pistachios too! Mmm Mmm good!
